After AJ's news along came Del's "move", DPM losing Flynn, Tim and Kim retiring, Jason Mc going along with AJ plus many others not not announced - what's next? This off season should provide some of the wildest movement of crews and drivers in along time. Throw in the financial situation and it could change the whole outlook of Fuel racing in 2009. Everyone will have to have a new scorecard come January as the new season evolves! Bring it on!

I sure wish I was a crewchief right now, I could just about name my price. :D

Brent, you're not kidding! As much as I've always dreamed of hitting the loud pedal on a fuel car, it wouldn't be too bad being able to make a nice six-figure income tuning these animals, and right now the shortage of capable people is second only to nurses I believe. :D However, it is certainly a high-pressure gig with little security, as owners have shown little patience in waiting for results. Still, not a bad spot to be in if you know how to tune a fuel car.

I know one guy who could, was teasing him about taking over the Army car... Dead seriously he told me there was no way he was ever leaving where he's at...

Dale Armstrong comes to my mind. He is a friend of a friend of mine, and my buddy tells me he now restores old Chevys and hated the travel. I guess if you have enough money, some more would not be motivation enough to get you to come back.

Nah theres no way Dale is coming back, he loves what hes doing right now and doesnt really have an interest to get back into the game.

Just wishful thinking on our part. Dale was my favorite crew chief hands down when he was on the circuit, and is a really nice guy to boot.

Jim Head has been saying he would love to get out of the seat and tune.
He has a Toyota operation in place, would be a GREAT tuner with the funding that AJ will have and with the right driver.......
