I have just learned that Paul Blevins passed away some time between Monday night and Tuesday morning. I have no further information on this at this time, but will post it as soon as I do.

God Speed Paul.

Thanks Jackee for letting us know. As long as I can remember, I've been followoing pro stocks, esp. Chevys. Blevins was one of my favorites in the late '70's. The Vegas were popular back then, which included Jenkins, Schafiraff and the refrigerator white Vega of Paul Blevins. Those were the good ol days and I'm glad I got to meet Paul at the OMS. Joe

Paul was one of my favorite early Pro Stock racers, along with Ron Hutter and Da Grump. His cars were always white, always spotless and always fast. RIP and thanks for the memories.

Before SRL cameras, I relied on my Kodak box camera:

Way too young to remember him, but heard plenty of him from Dad's days of war racing in Division 1 Modified Eliminator.

I've been living in 'tech support' hell since last week. Sorry for not providing more information about Paul, but some days I've spent 6-7 hours with support people for one reason or another. The good news is that I think I may have cracked the Indian accent code, having had so many conversations with 'off shore' tech reps. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I will call Joe Scotto in a little bit, to find out if there is more information.

Thanks for the pictures guys. Those were the best days of drag racing. Sorry everyone couldn't have experienced them. :(
