Just heard that Heavy passed away. I don't have any more information.

Anyone involved with racing back in the 70's, especially from the NE, surely has a Heavy story or two to tell.

What possible stories could anyone have about Brooklyn Heavy?;)
RIP Rufus

Used to hang at a body shop that painted some of Heavy's cars...Interesting group. Still remember the Brooklyn Heavy vs. Levi Holmes races at E. Town. I think a few dollars changed hands.

We built a bunch of fiberglass parts for his and his buddies cars. One day we get a call to see if we had molds for the not yet released Mustang II. Of course we didn't, but he said they would be down the next day. Next day, about 1:00, here comes a van with every piece of off a brand new Mustang II that we needed. I asked him what we should do with the steel parts after we made the molds. Answer...cut them up in little pieces and make them go away!!!

When they dropped off the 69 Camaro at the paint shop. We asked them to help us push it in off the street...They just told us start it up and drive it in. Early Pro Stock/BIG money street race car..lenco the whole bit. We asked arent you worried leaving a running car here? Answer...No ones gonna mess with our stuff. Nuff said
