How the heck do you screw that up in the engine shop? :confused: Did somebody forget to whip out the calculator when they were figuring bore and stroke?

actually it's really easy to be off by that much. example Bore is 4.055 on a small block with a three inch stroke and you write down 4.05-you'll be off by a cubic inch.

Comp is a weight per cubic inch deal so instead of the engine being too big, you could also say the car was too light. Rodger was running G/A so I'm not sure what the weight ratio was...11.5 lbs maybe? I'm sure the professor can answer that. But I don't have the whole picture because he was listed as D/SM until the final qualifying when he showed in G/A. Maybe he changed classes from D/SM to G/A to get the 0.02 in index and then at tech they found his car too light? That would really suck cuz he was in high in D.
