Pro Top Outlaw Heads to Edgewater Raceway Park
With 2 events of the series complete, the Pro Top Outlaws will head to Cleves , Ohio June 15th and 16th for the Ohio Crankshaft PTO Nationals. Thus far, Phil Esz, last years champion, has been successfully defending his title, taking home the trophy at each of the first 2 races.
During their last event in Dorchester , SC , Tom Mueller earned his first #1 qualifying spot with a 3.883. He also ran low ET of the meet, a losing 3.87, in second round when he turned on the red light. Esz took the win over Brandon Booher in the final round when Booher’s car failed to start due to electrical problems. Currently, Esz is #1 in the points standings, 42 points over Booher and 44 points over Toby Chapman.
Since their last event, the series is happy to announce they have acquired 2 new sponsors, Spitzer Race Cars and Northern Plumbing LLC. They along with Fowler Engines, Snyder Motorsports, and W & M Enterprises are the associate sponsors on what is shaping up to be one of the best events of the season at Edgewater Raceway Park . With high car counts expected for the Pro Top Outlaw and Pro Top Bandits 16 car field, the fans can expect to see a great show of sub 4-second passes at over 180 MPH in the 1/8 mile.
The qualifying will begin on Friday night when the competitors vie for a spot in the field during the ever popular “Night of Fire”. On Saturday, they will receive 2 more shots at 3:45 PM and 5:15 PM. Beginning at 7 PM, the competitors will do their best to make it through the tough fields and earn their chance to stand in the winner’s circle.
