Could he have push started it, or is it:

A) Against the rules? (I don't think so... )

B) that push starting would screw up something in the clutch package, or even something in the motor?

its insane to even think dive. kurt now leaves with a 15 py lead instead of a 35 point lead, anyhow congrats to justin!!!

The rule is that you have to "SELF START" in NHRA Pro Stock class. They "BUMP" started it and they had to be shut off. Tough break for KJ, (as he is my championship pick);) But that the rules, and my "BOY" Justin Humphries won his 1st NHRA wally!

On the contrary, but of course Justin stated before the finals that there were no "team" orders. But there's always the chance the diver was the winning driver:rolleyes:

But, it would be the other way around right???? I mean, Justin would dive for the guy contending for the championship.... RIGHT? Either way... No Diving... Just a bad luck situation.

That sure was strange. Things that make you go Hmmm:rolleyes:

it would make zero sense for kj to lay down for humphries, if thats what being implied and justin stated during his interview there would be no team orders in the final and until it actually happens i gotta take his word for it!

You are kidding right? What purpose would that serve? KJ is in what's going to be a very tight points race and needs all the points he can get. Now if the roles had been reversed, you might have a point but I can't believe you're saying something was up.

I would think Justin would take one for the team and give KJ a solid points lead. Let's say failing to service the clutch between rounds for example would guarantee a win for KJ but not appear as a blatant dive....But then the unthinkable happens and the car fails to fire-up:eek:

Jack,
Are you referring to Justin Breaking on launch as that he was all set to dive? Gezz, do we really have to go thru this the next 5 races?

If you really feel "the Fix" is in, why bother?

d'kid
and i don't even like gas floppers and could care less:eek:

Karl, you're just repeating what it said online. No one can prove something broke..... unless you know Gugliotta. So what if the fix was in. Face it,even your fuelboys do it now and then.

Alky Men, Jackie boy, ALKY.

and no, I was repeating what bob said over the PA... then watching the car launch on the tube... and no, i don't think justin was going to dive... but that seemed to be what you were implying.

Bummer, that's not the first time this has happened to Kurt.
But anyways, Kurt's 2nd rd. victory was quite satisfying. :D

Sure would like to peak at the engine leasing contract that Justin signed. Regardless, a good win. Question, would Justin have won this race had he raced the Stratus?

You know, anyway you serve it up, it seems as if someone is going to cry foul?? Of course, there has to be a dive, right?

I'd have never believed in my wildest dreams after that final and the outcome that anyone-anywhere would have ever brought this crap up but since you did and it's on the table, I'll say this. With the exception of a age assisted late light by Warren, his stuff beat everyone else's stuff all weekend long. Justin is the smartest man on the planet finding a way to get WJ/KJ power under his hood and he proved it today! The only problem is we now have Oliver Stone and the guys on the grassy knoll reviewing the lease agreements and clutch servicing procedures in an effort to justify results. Justin drove WJ/KJ's powered car and won the event. It's that simple and if there's conspiracy in KJ letting his points lead go soft by sabotaging his own starter, check your reputation and credibility at the door as it will come under much greater scrutiny.

I think that the poster of this thread may be referring to what Justin's car did at the drop of the clutch.

Man was I bummed to see KJ's car not start. Then when they said they had to push start it I knew the race was over for him due to the self start rule.
