Thx nhra for removing pro stock from bristol. What a crock of poop. Guess my ticket prices will remain the same with less racing.

Makes the DVR even that much more important. I had to put it in FF X 4 in between the semis and finals for Brainerd. The TV is boring as crap with just 15 TF and 15 FC. No drama of a bump and qualifying means nothing. I Just start it @ 2nd round with the usual 7-8 cars that can win.

I dont start watching the race on sunday until an hr after it starts,to much remember whens lol

Count me in as a Pro Stock fan as well that was looking forward to them being at Bristol. So that leaves Pro Mod as the fast door slammer class with no Pro Stock or Top Sportsman. Hope Pro Mod car counts are better there than what they have been lately.

I'm with a bunch of you guys as Pro Stock is my favorite class. I don't usually go to Bristol since it's a hassle and expensive to travel there from California but I added it this year when it looked like the Winternationals was not going to happen. Now I have to reconsider. My only nonrefundable cost is tickets which were only $95. Not very fan friendly to make a change like this so late in the season, especially for those of us who are not local.

brian, if i was retired, i would buy your ticket/s and make the drive. have driven across TN via nashville, but never spent any time there. would love to go to bristol and surrounding area/s.

If you follow the various Pro Mod "leagues" around the country do you know if there are higher paying Pro Mod races within 500 miles of Bristol Oct. 15-17th?

If there are, the PM field will probably be like Brainerd which competed against the MId-West Drag Racing Series race at Great Bend, KS. Great Bend paid more cash but possibly not with NHRA's contingency $$. MWDR is a regional points series that would make it easier/cheaper to compete in for teams not on the coasts. It's also 1/8th mile which is attractive to some PM teams as its easier on parts and repairs from that really bad pass that Pro Mods seem to be attracted to from time to time.

Checking MWDR's website, they race the weekend after Bristol so there's no conflict there.
My guess is that Bristol will still be a great race and I wish I could make it.
