Pro Outlaw Doorslammers open season at KDS

On April 26th the Pro Outlaw Doorslammers will start their season at Kinston Dragway in North Carolina. Bobby Smith, the owner of Kinston Dragway ,aka KDS, was the first of many new tracks on the P.O.D schedule to give this club dates. "With the diversity in this club, we plan to give the KDS fans who love heads up doorslammers something to remember and look forward to" says board member Stuart Williams. You could see all kinds of different engine and transmission combinations with turbos, blowers, nitrous, and motor cars using powerglides to lencos. The 2007 champion, Bill Meadows, in his 2005 Grand Am, powered by a 814 cubic inch Kaase powerplant, will begin defending his title at KDS. Some of last years top 10 finishers will be looking to dethrone the champ. Such as Bob Watson, Marc Hayes, Henry Butler, Kenny Ferguson, Wayne Woodard, and Kevin Fortney. Along with the entire Assault Team. Kinston Dragway, Virginia Motorsports Park, Maryland International Raceway, Roxboro Dragway, Richmond Dragway, and the P.O.D's home track, Summerduck Dragway are the tracks where you will see the Pro Outlaw Doorslammers competing to crown the 2008 champion. Look out for large qualifying fields as this club grows with the help of the N.C. based organization known as Outlaw Top Gun. Some of North Carolina's best are expected, such as the ECPG champion, R.B. Smith, the ProGlide Promotions winterfest champion, Chris Croom, Steve Bray, and Ernie Everett. Don't miss the Heads up, action packed show that the Pro Outlaw Doorslammers will bring to Kinston Dragway April 26th. "Don't Sing It, Bring It" is the P.O.D motto.
