On May 24th the Pro Outlaw Doorslammers will return to Sumerduck Dragway for the first time in the 2008 season. The P.O.D who had a very large qualifying field at Virginia Motorsports Park, with over 30 cars, look forward to competing at the Duck. After 2 Pro Outlaw Doorslammer events the points battle is still very tight but will be shaken up some on the 24th. We had alot of fun at the duck in 2007 and can't wait to bring "the Show" back home for all the local fans. We have alot of new members after VMP and hope that some of these new cars will come have fun at the home of the P.O.D. "Sumerduck Dragway has a great staff and they treat us wonderful every time we are their" said spokesman Stuart Williams. The Assault Team is also looking to make things interesting for the fans by hoping to run a team vs team matchup during qualifying at the Duck on the 24th. They are looking for 3 ATR cars to go against 3 other cars during the qualifying rounds. Mike Anderson, the owner of Sumerduck Dragway, has supported the P.O.D greatly by helping gain races at other tracks for this season. Sumerduck will also have its Hitman event on May 22nd, featuring two members of the P.O.D in a matchrace, which happens every 4th thursday. On the 22nd it will be Kevin Fortney in his 1999 Rick Jones Monte Carlo powered by a 738 Buck engine against Kenny Ferguson in his 2004 Grand Am powered by a 762 Buck engine. We look forward to another great time at the duck on the 24th.
