So they get told 5.30, then 6.00, and then 4.30, then all of the sudden as 4.30 comes around the NHRA pull out their countdown BS, which could have been saved for the Monday during the drivers introductions, but noooooo, let's do it on a Friday, and screw over the PM guys....

Well done NHRA you are truly one classy organization.

All you pro countdown people, I bet you would have loved being in the stands for that one :rolleyes: Instead of seeing a good chance of 5 second 240MPH PM runs... I took my time like most to go walk around.

Personally, I'd Like to see the final 4 wrapped up before Richmond... and I hope they don't do this $*** before every race from here on out....

get a clue NHRA... we're there from the RACE... fans aren't counting points, at least I don't....

So instead of letting the ProMods run they had some kind of driver introductions on who made the chase... ERRR Countdown???

OH YEAH just what the fans wanted to see... That's something they could have shown on the big TV thing during an oildown...

That's too bad for them. You should see what they do to the sportsman guys!

you expected anything to be different with the Pro Mods?....i still can't figure out why the AMS guys deal with the NHRA.... why not go out on your own or hook up with someone who CARES about the class...or at least acts like they care.....

in the past the AMS crew has stated this is great exposure to people that never saw a Pro Mod run...... that statment doesn't hold true anymore when the NHRA does everything it can to screw with the runs and time on the strip...has one event the AMS has run at gone off on the time prestated or scheduled?

You guys are missing the BIG PICTURE.... yes you missed seeing the Pro Mods run... but just look at all the "EXCITEMENT" of watching a total of app. 10 Pro FWD & Pro RWD "IMPORTS qualify.. (about 4 or 5 in each class) 1/2 the time they cant get down the track in under 13 sec... maybe if they switch back to "Rotary" Mazda engines, and have the drivers Rev em to 10,000 rpm in the pits, it will increase the "Excitement level"... beside who want's to see side by side 5 sec. 230 mph. pro mods that carry the wheels to the 330' .. lets see more of the Countdown, and Pro Import..

I'm gonna ask PJ if he will petition NHRA for a "Countdown in the Pro Import" classes :D

PJ jump right in...

I wonder if AMS will be back next year. They almost pulled the plug prior to this year and I'll bet they wish they had.

See,
when I saw the title, I thought you were all speaking of going to NHRA.com and clicking on the photos from the event. They have their own page for super comp, but not one for ProMod. Super Gas has theirs, but no ProMod. And I went through the other 'days' and did not see one picture of one ProMod in the entire collection.
Bet the sponsors of the ProMods are really happy for all of the extra exposure.

It just bleeds class!
