For those on the west coast, you have a couple of great drag racing choices this weekend!

For those of you in Washington and Oregon check out the Tulip Festival Drags featuring a dozen blown alcohol cars competing in Pro Comp plus a jet car show. The latest forecast is for cool but sunny weather. Qualifying is on Saturday and eliminations are planned for Sunday. Go to Welcome to Woodburn Dragstrip for details.

For people in Northern California, Pacific ProComp will be featured at Redding Dragstrip for Cool April Nights. That event is Friday and Saturday and it looks like 70 degree weather there for a great event. Go to TEW home for more information.

Pro Comp and the jet car event at Woodburn has been canceled due to the rain and soggy grounds.

Shannon. I was a little disappointed that they called the race on Friday thinking I'd wake up to a sunny day but it was cloudy and the rain started in the early afternoon which was the opposite of what the forecast said. They did get some testing in but it was a light turnout and Art said that they limited cars to the eighth mile so it was a good call by the track to call off the featured cars in advance. The temp was in the high 40's to low 50's most of the day and the track just wasn't ready for the high horsepower cars just yet. We will be testing there next Saturday.

The forecast looks even worse for Redding.
