PITTSBURGH RACEWAY PARK SIGNS MULTI-YEAR SANCTIONING AGREEMENT WITH IHRA
Track New Host of North Star Summit Team Finals

NORWALK, Ohio (January 2, 2007) - The International Hot Rod Association(IHRA) announced it has signed a three-year sanction extension with Pittsburgh Raceway Park. The track, located southeast of downtown Pittsburgh, hosts a Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by Mr. Gasket event, and beginning in 2007, will be the new home of the North Star Summit Team Finals.

"We're thrilled to see the Tedesco family step up and renew their sanctioning agreement to give IHRA racers a home in western Pennsylvania," said IHRA President Aaron Polburn. "They continue to make improvements to their facility and remain one of IHRA's premier venues."

"Pittsburgh Raceway Park will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2007 and the sixth year under our family's management. We couldn't be happier with our partnership with IHRA," said track manager Frank Tedesco. "We are very pleased with the IHRA program and excited about the opportunity of increasing our involvement with the sanctioning body to now include hosting the Summit Team Finals."

"Pittsburgh Raceway Park has served IHRA's Pro-Am and Summit SuperSeries competitors for many years," IHRA vice president of racing operations Skooter Peaco said. "In addition, the track has developed many innovative racing concepts, most notably their 'Thunder in the Burgh' event, which brings our sport to a safe, controlled atmosphere on the streets of downtown Pittsburgh.

"It's no secret Pittsburgh has been on the short list for an IHRA Nitro Jam(tm) national event for quite some time," added Peaco.

The Patriots division 2007 Pro-Am double-event will be held July 7 - 8. The North Star Summit Team Finals will be held at Pittsburgh Raceway Park Oct. 5 - 7.
