Minimum weight restrictions are as follows: Nitrous cars must weigh at least 2,400 pounds. Add one hundred pounds for 5.2 and 5.3 bore space motors. Blower cars are welcome to compete under the following guidelines: Minimum weight 2,500 pounds. No screw blowers. Piedmont will host its regular Thursday night Big Dog Shootout on September 2, followed up by the first ever Outlaw Big Dog event on Labor Day Monday, September 6. Renegade, 5.80 Raiders and Outlaw Doorslammers will not compete during the Labor Day Monday event, but will run as normal during the Thursday, August 2 event. A bracket race will also be contested during the Labor Day event. For more information regarding this event you may visit: Piedmont Dragway
