I wonder what this means for T.J. Zizzo...

Sucks for the Zizzo team, Peak will not be back with them from what I heard today from Tony. Hopefully the Zizzo team will find a new marketing partner. You will not find a nicer team than the Zizzo group. They go out of their way to make sure their supporters have a good time at the racetrack.

Admittedly I am not the biggest JFR fan on the board, but that being said, I sure hate to see a smaller team's (especially a great group of people like the Zizzo team) major sponsor disappear and become just another associate sponsor decal on a Force car...

hate to say it but there are only a handful of multi-car race teams that basically provide nhra with
it's identity right now and no one can argue john force himself is arguably the name and face most associated
with nhra drag racing; and recently his efforts to replace himself with his daughters.
nobody can blame a brand like Peak for wanting to be associated with the most publicized team in the sport;
and now especially when JFR is in last year of ford and castrol contracts; they are already 'in' when in 2015
the castrol and ford decals come off.

JFR is one of the most marketable teams out there right now, and they're losing two huge sponsors after this season. I'm sure they're being very aggressive in trying to get new sponsorship, unfortunately this may come at the expense of some of the smaller teams. And not knowing the whole story, it's very possible Peak went to Force on this deal, not the other way around.

Our marketing partnership with PEAK is over. We appreciate their involvement with our team for the last 10 years, we learned a lot and it allowed us to live our dream.

As one door has closed, hopefully a larger door will now be opening, we'll see what the future holds.

Good luck Team Zizzo, hopefully we will see you guys out there soon.

That stinks. I hope good things come to Team Zizzo soon.

Team Zizzo,
My son and I have appreciated the brief but engaged conversations with T.J. at the tracks. Your pit is always the first place Shane wants to go when we get to a race.

Good luck is one reward for good deeds so you should be fine.

I second that! T. Smith has been a good friend to me personaly as is the entire Zizzo team.
Let hope the future has some BIG $'s for you guys./ see you soon.

Now that all of the initial hoopla has subsided and without going into any detail, here's a little info for the record. John Force Racing did not steal PEAK from Zizzo Racing and PEAK did not dump Zizzo Racing for John Force Racing. As many have mentioned it is business. PEAK has a budget and certain things they want/need to accomplish with it. What they wanted, we could not provide and what we wanted, they could not afford. Hence the decision to go another direction. After an exhaustive search that included several other teams, PEAK found their best option within JFR . There have been no bridges burned and each can now pursue a direction that is beneficial to each. Side note, it is easier if you have the money than if you need the money.

Thanks, Mike. Hopefully that will cool some of the speculation.
Best of luck to you guys. Always good to have you out.

IMHO, team Zizzo did a fantastic job of representing the brand. The car was a huge billboard that was clean, highly visible and very effective for brand recognition. There wasn't a bunch of busy graphics that cluttered the logo.

The team marketed the brand in new markets last year and brought more awareness. They performed well too. As an observation, people at Pomona definitely loved TJ and I thought he and the team did a professional high quality job of representing the brand.

I purchased PEAK product when they supported Zizzo. For now, I have no choice but to support a competing product.
