I don't remember what year but Paul was running a Top Fuel car in IHRA that one of the kids were driving and they couldn't get it down the track on the first two laps. Paul jumped in it for the final qualifying pass and qualified, then the kid ran it in eliminations. Does anyone else remember this?

I was sitting in Gary Litton's living room last year and, among other great stories I got to hear, I remember "Paul Smith is one of the best nitro funny car tuners there ever was."
