OFFICIALS RESCHEDULE SOONER NATIONALS JUNE 23

TULSA, Okla. (May 27, 2007) – IHRA and Tulsa Raceway Park officials have rescheduled the Skull Shine Sooner Nationals to be completed Saturday, June 23.

Despite several rain delays Friday and Saturday, all three rounds of professional qualifying were completed. However, Sunday brought more rain which was expected to last all day.

“The first real glimpse of dry weather isn’t until Tuesday or Wednesday,” said IHRA president Aaron Polburn. “So, it’s impossible to run this race as scheduled. It’s a tough call to have to make, but we feel it’s the right one based on weather forecasts and all the rain we’ve already experienced.”

The Sooner Nationals will return to Tulsa and be run to completion Saturday, June 23. Move-in day for race teams will be Friday, June 22.

All advance tickets that were purchased for Sunday will be honored on the make-up date. Professional fields are set and closed to new entries. All sportsman fields are still open.

The complete race schedule will be released on IHRA.com - Homepage Of IHRA Motorsports - A Division Of Live Nation later this week.

All participants and others must return to the event with their original entry wrist-band. Sportsman competitors that cannot return may transfer out of the race at no charge, based on IHRA’s transfer policy.

Tickets are still available via Carson Attractions, www.carsonattractions.com or (918) 584-2000 , Ticketmaster, or Welcome Race Fans!. For more information log onto IHRA.com - Homepage Of IHRA Motorsports - A Division Of Live Nation.

The Skull Shine Sooner Nationals presented by Wolverine and Academy Sports + Outdoors is the third event of the $19.5 million Knoll Gas Nitro Jam™ Drag Racing Series.
