January 16th, 2009 Huntington, NY- Association President John Mazzorana feels the 2009 season for the NEOPM will be a breakout year. “With the development and launch of our new website, the addition of new racing venues like Maple Grove Raceway, Virginia Motorsports Park, and our other outstanding venues like MIR, Atco, Capitol and Cecil, the addition of five new members so far this January joining our 50 plus members, (20 Blower/Turbo’s and 30 Nitrous/Naturally aspirated) the need for a local cost effective solution for the many Pro Mod Racers in the Northeast, I feel we will draw many more fans, racers and sponsors for our Pro Mod League. We have also partnered with Hope House Ministries Charities, which provides hope, care and compassion to nearly 2,000 individuals in need each month”. Further details of their involvement will follow in the coming weeks. Please visit them at Hope House Ministries
Today’s economic conditions have made teams rethink which racing leagues to attend. John Mazzorana states, “Our one day Pro Shootout Extreme Races with two classes (Blower/Turbo’s and Nitrous/Naturally aspirated) give racers the opportunity to race at top notch quarter mile tracks. This provides a broader array of competition and fun for all. We now have a perfect blend of different types of cars, drivers and engine types to appeal to a broad diversity of racing fans that is cost effective for the fan and racing teams alike. Safety is also a huge concern, and that is why we run NHRA rules.”
