Most likely his Night of Fire will be significantly more profitable as Bader had no "partner" to split the profits with. His "nut" will be much lower and concessions sales will be more profitable with his having total control and a packed house. After last year, he deserves to smile big.Pretty impressive, almost like having a second national event.
Sold out crowd expected at Night Under Fire

I absolutely hope Bader knocks it out of the park! There are a million other ways to make a living rather than owning and promoting a racetrack, it's certainly not for the faint of heart. We need guys like him to prosper, and for the effort he puts in, he certainly deserves to. I haven't checked but I hope the weather is great for the event. Most likely his Night of Fire will be significantly more profitable as Bader had no "partner" to split the profits with. Please tell more, 2200 miles away didn't go. But did hear some rumblings about the race. What a disaster...
Yup, need more info please. What a disaster...
I didn’t go but as I understand they had a power outage and ended before the night action began. I was there quite a few years ago when a similar situation happened but this sounds worse. Poor Mr. BaderYup, need more info please.
Not quite true. Had racing all day. The "Show" started on time 7pm Got completely thru the 1st round. Bob Motz jets semi ( last vehicle to run in 1st round) had a part failure and it burnt the rubber off the track at the starting line. Took about a hr to repair track. Got about 6 runs into second round when the whole Norwalk area had a massive power outage. The fireworks were shot off trying to bid time. Norwalk got ahold of Ohio Ed, and were told that they couldn't give a time line when power would be back. Don't know why track lost power but it was something that happen away from the track.I didn’t go but as I understand they had a power outage and ended before the night action began. I thought it went pretty well when he was helping out! I heard he wanted to buy just the racetrack but maple wouldnt sell unless he bought the whole deal.Bader was helping Maple Grove for a short bit but apparently that didn't pan out. I wonder what happened to that deal?
I havent been able to find maple groves listing now for a few weeks, sold?Bader was helping Maple Grove for a short bit but apparently that didn't pan out. I wonder what happened to that deal?
One of the managers there said week or so ago it was still for sale...Dunno, Maybe they took it off the market. One would hope so. They did have a motorsport corp. that was going to buy it but they backed out. That was a little while ago.
I just hope someone that purchases it isn't a home developer or a used car storage company! One of the managers there said week or so ago it was still for sale...
They will sell to anyone from what ive heard, they WANT to keep it a racetrack yes,but no guaranteesThe nationals are a huge infusion of cash for that entire area...plus the track owners have stated they will not sell to anyone interesting in developing the property........time will tell
