TOP FUEL
· Brandon Bernstein won his fourth event of the season in his fifth final round appearance of 2007, driving his Budweiser/Lucas Oil dragster to a 4.648-second finish at 317.57 mph. Bob Vandergriff finished second in his UPS dragster.
· It was Bernstein’s 16th career win and his second at Bristol (2003).
· It was a tough first round for the top seeds, with No. 1 qualifier Tony Schumacher, Clay Millican, Morgan Lucas, Whit Bazemore, Melanie Troxel, Cory McClenathan, Brady Kalivoda and Hillary Will all falling in the opening session.

· Rod Fuller secured a 2nd round finish to hold his POWERade points lead.
· Tony Schumacher earned the NHRA Top Fuel Shootout award for qualifying No. 1 in his U.S. Army dragster with a 4.544 and 321.12 run.

FUNNY CAR
· John Force drove his Castrol GTX High-Mileage Ford Mustang to his first season win. It was Force’s 123 career victory.
· Force piloted his ride to a 4.993 at 284.62 over Cruz Pedregon’s Advance Auto Parts Chevy Impala SS.
· It was a tough first round for the top seeds, with Robert Hight, Tommy Johnson Jr., Jerry Toliver, Scott Kalitta, Tony Bartone, Tony Pedregon, and Del Worsham all falling in the opening session.
· DNQ’s included: Ashley Force, Kenny Bernstein, and Jeff Arend
· Tim Wilkerson earned the Skoal Showdown award for qualifying No.1 in his Levi Ray & Shoup Chevy Impala SS with a 4.819 and 321.42 run.
· Force defeated Mike Ashley by a .0021-second margin of victory in the quarterfinal round of Funny Car to get the Motel 6 “Who Got the Light” award.
· Mike Ashley and his Torco/Skull Gear Dodge Charger crew earned the Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award.
PRO STOCK
· Jeg Coughlin grabbed his second win of the season in his fifth final round appearance of 2007 with a 6.809-second run at 203.22 mph over Kenny Koretsky.
· First round loses include current points leader Greg Anderson, V Gaines, Warren Johnson, Jason Line, Ron Krisher, Richie Stevens Jr., Steve Schmidt, and Max Naylor.
· DNQ’s included: Tom Hammonds, Greg Stanfield, Mike Edwards, Bob Benza, Matt Scranton, Tony Rizzo, Craig Hankinson, and Jim Cunningham.
