A brand new series hosted by Jack Beckman and Gregg Sharp. Produced by those two and Les Mayhew. Here is the first episode on Youtube:

Who invented the internal combustion engine? Damilier in 1879??? So if he had an engine and someone else had a chassis, then there ya go. So someone else saw Damilier's car and said I can do that. And by the 1880's, you had side by side racing. So that is how it started. Wasn't called drag racing, but it was "side by side acceleration runs". But, the cars were noisy, scared the horses and little kids and were outlawed until Henry Ford came along around 1906 and then it went from there. First drag car in a movie was The Shooting Star in the 1927 movie "Wings".

This is Official Cliff Morgan Possible History.
