NHRA in Kansas (21 Viewers)

If NHRA returns to a race in Kansas, looks like it will be at another place than Heartland Park. The other HRA just bought it.

Back to NHRA, wasn't there a big sportsman race a year ago that drew large fields near the Kansas City area? How is that facility for a national race?

You are referring to Flying H Dragstrip in Odessa, Missouri. The facility is very nice, but it's missing some amenities that NHRA requires in order to hold a National Event.

What are they missing? Looks like a very small pit area,i thought they were building this play just so they can run an nhra natl event??

Like the concession stands with sky high prices?
They don’t have a problem there.

Needs more paved pits, bathrooms, and more seating. There are probably other things, but those are the big ones.

They didn’t build the place to solely get a National Event. If one came their way, they would host one, but that’s not why they built it. The owner and VP are ProMod racers and built it because they were tired of going all the way to Tulsa to test. Now they don’t have time to test because they are busy running a race track.

The NHRA Heritage Series is going back to where it all started; N/TF is scheduled to be at Great Bend, KS the first weekend of July.
