We've had highlights of NHRA events, usually lasting 1 hour at some ungodly hour of the night.

But this is the real deal:):):):) - starting Mon 21st June at 5 pm on ESPN & ESPN HD UK there's 5 hours coverage of the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals - Bristol Dragway, Bristol, Tn, USA.

l can't wait till Monday.

3 hours for the event because we have have the the same amount of commercials but our breaks are longer but there are half that of the Americans, unless they are showing the qualifying?
Also half an hour for NHRA Racwday

ESPN is an American cable television network dedicated to broadcasting and producing sports-related programming 24 hours a day. Most programming on ESPN and its affiliated networks consists of live or tape-delayed sets of events and sports-related news programming. Owned by The Walt Disney Company (80%) Hearst Corporation (20%).

ESPN and its family of networks have rights to the following events:

NHRA -1980(?)–2000 (Contracts with individual races) 2001–2013 (Contract with NHRA)

We'll have to wait till Monday to find out :D:D

James

Are you the bloke who mentioned the Orbit Network OSNETWORK to me a few years ago? They were televising NHRA drag racing by satellite via Bahrain

l'm glad you did.

Check out ESPN UK over the next couple of days, lots of NHRA programming. Stating with Pro Mod at 1pm!

l watched the Pro Mod & Sportsman action today from Englishtown on ESPN HD UK - Spectacular picture & sound quality.

On the broadcasts were long-time NHRA announcer Dave Rieff & 22-time NHRA winner Mike Dunn providing expert analysis and insight on the racing action. l was very impressed with Lauren Stauffer, she really knows NHRA drag racing.

ESPN International will televise the events around the world through English-speaking networks in Africa, Middle East, Caribbean and the Pacific Rim. In all, 102 countries and over 9.4 million households will receive NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series coverage worldwide.

l'm looking forward to watching 5 hrs of the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals tomorrow.:cool:

What happened to Paul Page & Gary Gerould?

The ESPN online programme was incorrect. Yesterday l watched 3 hrs of the finals from the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals - but the PSB finals weren't televised. Were they shown in the US? lts great to watch the NITRO cars - my favourite class. Awesome performances from all the drivers & crews.

I watched the qualifying show on my flight from SF to NYC, the first part was okay, but that Saturday session I fell straight asleep. Mike Dunn started to get on my nerves too. The show is very stale. The sportsman show which also screened during my flight (The Etown race) was much more enjoyable. However these are just my opinions. I hadn't seen an NHRA race screened on the box for a number of years. Ill stick with the audiocast.

Mike

PS: PSB did not run this event.

somebody said earlier that it would be cool if espn in the states showed the FIA series .. well we have not got that quite yet .. but all the americans can watch the entire FIA championship online as each event is being put on the santa pod website a few days after each race.

all the pro classes from round 1 are online now.

round 2 from finland is in 2 weeks time.

Santa Pod Raceway - TV Online
