With the renewal of the lease at Champion Raceway in Medford, Oregon NHRA has decided to return with full Division 6 event action to close out that divisions schedule, September 25 and 26, 2010, at the web link below:

Spokane, Dropped!
Acton, Dropped!!

Its a shame that we finally get a points race near to and in Montana and then the racers won't or don't support it....

and the fact that the Spokane track has been f**ked over by so may in recent years, and the Acton track has been for sale, hasn't helped either!!

Because of politics and convenience, it again confirms the power of the I-5 Corridor... MONTANA should always have remained in Div. 5

At least the Points Meet gives us one reason to go to the Medford track, since that's the only race of any quality booked in there all year. Still haven't figured out why Taylor even runs that track, because he won't book any good shows in......just his boring gassers. Man, do they get old fast!

It would have helped if the County had posted the RFP somewhere the interested parties could have found it. We had two parties who were very interested. One couldn't get anything together in time and the other only found out about it "after" the final deadline. Either would have been far better than what we ended up with.

It would be nice if Taylor would open an office in Medford, and finally have a presence in the area. If you really care about your business, you spend more than 4 days a month at it.
