Quotables:
Alexis DeJoria, Driver
“We ran well during that second qualifying session and finished Friday in the Top 12, which is so important because even if you don’t do well during those last two qualifying attempts on Saturday, you still have a solid chance of securing a spot on race day. We were hoping to better our chances during these last two sessions today. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen- but we’re racing on Sunday, and that’s what counts. We finished in the No. 11 spot and we’ll see what happens tomorrow.”
Tommy DeLago, Crew Chief
“We’re making strides to get better; we’re ticking away at it. Our 60-foots [incremental times] are finally coming around, and we’re accomplishing that in a way where we don’t run into issues like we did back in Pomona. Our car has a lot of potential, but we’re still a ways away from the level where I think we should be. We’ll make our best calls tonight and try and take what we did in Q2 and Q4 and apply it tomorrow. “
