Next up for Dan Myers Racing: Boise’s “Nightfire Nationals”

San Diego, CA – One of the biggest events on the West Coast, the Nightfire Nationals at Firebird Raceway in Boise Idaho, will be including the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association for the first time ever this 2010 season for the 39th annual running of the state’s premiere motorsports event, the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals.

With the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association (WCOPMA) being booked in to the event for the first time ever this year, Dan Myers will be bringing his 1957 Chevy Cameo Pick-Up truck to compete with the likes of WCOPMA points leader Bret Williamson, WCOPMA president Rod Burbage, NHRA Pro Mod driver Dennis Radford and other WCOPMA heavy hitters such as Marc Meadors, Randy Kay, Rod Pearce and Jay Diedrich.

This event will also attract some of the best Pro Street racers on the West Coast. Ranging from Washington all the way down to southern California, many racers have shown interest in running with the no rules, outlaw style of Pro Mod racing…which means Dan and his team will have to be on their “A” game to continue to hold that number two spot in the WCOPMA points standings.

At the last event the Dan Myers Racing team attended they had an unfortunate engine breakage that ended their weekend prematurely. Dan figured out his problem and got everything fixed in order for this big event, he and his team did everything possible to get ready for the Nightfire Nationals as they were not going to miss it.

Dan stated “I am coming prepared and ready with a newly purchased spare motor; we won't back down, especially when we’re this far from home”.
The event will be held on the August 12-15 weekend. Thursday is parking only from 1-9pm. Friday the Pro Mod guys will have one qualifying shot at 7pm. Saturday will let Pro Mod class see the track twice for two more qualifying sessions scheduled for 1pm and 7pm. Sunday will host eliminations for the 8-car show with rounds set for 4pm, 6:30pm and the final at 9pm. Of course all times are approximate.
