At the Finals in Pomona, I saw this warmup generate fog like I have never seen before. It didn't dissipate right away like it usually does; It lasted the entire warmup.

"What do you do for work?" Oh, I work in the cloud. 👍

As I have been fighting off a cold for the last few days and my nose and sinuses have been all stuffed up, I could sure go for a whiff or two in that cloud right about now.

That cloud reminds me of the worst dose of nitro I ever got. Normally I like to find a spot to where I get a good whiff and the eyes watering a bit but not too bad to where I am coughing and cant see. Well I remember Jack Beckman fired up and probably 15 seconds later Capps who was next door fires up. I was standing in between but the wind was blowing away from where I was. Well the wind ended up shifting and both clouds seemed to merge right where I was. I got out of there as quickly as I could but I was still coughing up smoke. My throat was on fire for a few days afterwards.

Nitro exhaust appears to mitigate my wife's allergies.

That is the Paton Family TF dragster that I licensed in at LV in October. The copious amounts of exhaust smoke/fuel is their normal deal. I was surprised by that as well, but nobody was concerned about it. It is just a feature of their tuneup. Take a look at what it looked like when they fired it for my first run in Vegas. If we would have been in the other lane, it would have made the tower disappear!

That’s a great video Lyle.
I’ve always dreamt of dropping the hammer on a fuel car. I figured I’d probably immediately lift because it scared the wadding out of me.

It looks so easy from the grandstands for many spectators to say "I could do that" the fist lap in a top fuel car has destroyed many pairs of under ware. I can tell you there is nothing in this world like the first run or 1000s of runs in a fuel car.

I can’t imagine driving a car that accelerates from 0 to 100 in under a second.
Forget the need to strap me in. I’d be puckering tight, clamping onto the seat.
