Nancy Matter Racing Ready For An Amazing Journey to Atlanta
The Top Alcohol Funny Car team of Nancy Matter is traveling east this weekend to compete in the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals from April 26th - 29 in Atlanta, Georgia. This is the 6th of 23 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series Events.
Matter's team will be debuting TheMusic.com / The Who 2007 logo on her alcohol funny car and her team is beyond ready to get back out to the track. "Not only do we have a new sponsor on board to join Angus Asphalt" states Matter "we're also really looking forward to picking up where we left off from the 2006 season which provided us with very strong data going in to this weekends competition. We're extremely proud to have TheMusic.com and The Who joining us and we will be putting our best foot forward for a strong showing".
In addition, Matter is looking forward to meeting some of the other female competitor's that will be representing the Alcohol Class as well this wekend. "I know so many of the guys from all over the country and we're all really good friends, but I've never met Lindsey Wood or Karen Stalba, and Kate Harker is such a special person. I think it's pretty awesome that there will be four female competitors representing the Top Alcohol Class this weekend and it will be a good mixture of competitive drivers and teams".
Tom Conway will be pulling double duty this weekend as he will be tuning Matter's funny car along with Kate Harker's A-Fuel Dragster.

The 6th National Event of 23 within the NHRA Powerade Series kicks off on Friday, April 27th with two rounds of qualifying at 2:00 and 5:30 p.m. for the Alcohol Class.
