Sure it blows to be set back over an hour by last year's softball game. But it's worth the wait for those wonderful "who is faster" Mopar ads. I love the one with the people racing desk chairs, lawn tractors, and everything else. How great to see them step up to the race sponsorship with great advertising, and a car sponsorship with Matt Hagan.

I'm not the least bit a Mopar guy, but these ads have moved me a little bit closer to that camp. Nice job!

I've never really been a Mopar fan but I really like those ads. They've had some real good ones over the years.

Mopar really seems to take advantage of the racing side of things for advertising they even take advantage of the hemi use in the nitro classes even though it is now an aftermarket engine. Anyone remember those has it got a hemi adds. Mopar seems to remember their racing history and they especially seem to know what HEMI means to their supporters.

Of course it was a coincidence that NHRA's picks for Best Engineered was a HEMI powered S/C dragster and Best Appearing was Keith Lynch's 2009 Challenger Stocker at today's race.

Those commercials did a great job of honoring their drag racing heritage as well as their current successes. Winning Pro Stock just cememted a great marketing effort on their part.

My wife (owns a fantastic Pontiac G6) wants to order a new Plum Crazy HEMI Challenger. She even wants the pistol grip 6-speed. I gave her two thumbs up on that idea.

But they screw the pouch with what they call a Charger (4 door car) and waist the name Nitro (on a 4 wheel drive Jeep)

While i think they screwed up naming it the Charger, on it's own that car has grown on me, for a 4-door cruiser, they're actually bad-a$$ looking. IMO

Personally my favorite new car is the Dodge Challenger.

Those Chargers are selling better than ever....plus they'll run a high 12-second quarter in stone stock trim and get over 20 miles per gallon doing so.

I agree. They look solid when all blacked out, at least for a 4 door.
