Thanks Phil for taking the time to dig through the photo vault to remind me how cool those years were in Funny Car racing. Sadly, your amazing collection of MT photos (and my current bathroom book Drag Racing Funny Cars by Lou Hart) remind me that today's "nostalgia" funny cars are pretty damn funny compared to the genuine item. Safety is one thing (and I am glad today's posers are safe to drive), but the look is some bizzarro hybrid of the 60's and today's cars.

Also, the article reminded me what a tragic loss to the sport MT's death was.
