McMillen Readies InstiGator - Shows Off New Look in Texas

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 19, 2007) - The Amalie Oil InstiGator Funny Car, powered by Torco Race Fuels and driven by Terry McMillen, will take on a brand new look for the 2007 Nitro Jam racing season. While the McMillen hotrod will keep its trademarked alligator appearance, it will have a fresh new look.

"We spent this off season reworking our chassis and tweaking our engine combination," McMillen explained. "This is going to be a brand new ride and we wanted it to have a new look." The Amalie Oil InstiGator Funny Car has been one of the most photographed race cars in all of drag racing since its inception during the 2002 season. McMillen is sure the new look will attract more attention than ever. "Everyone has always loved this car," he said. "This new look will turn more heads than ever before. The folks at GO Graphix did an outstanding job giving this gator fresh look."

The Amalie Oil InstiGator Funny Car will make appearances across the San Antonio area in preparation for the Nitro Jam season opening Amalie Oil Texas Nationals, presented by NAPA Auto Parts at the San Antonio Raceway March 23-24. The best way for fans to get a sneak peak is to visit an area NAPA store. The car and crew will make an appearance on Monday March, 19th from 12PM to 7PM at the NAPA located at 9050 Marbach Road. On Tuesday, McMillen will catch up with the crew and car for an appearance and autograph session at the NAPA Distribution Center at 6734 Rittman Road. Wednesday, the InstiGator makes its final pre-race appearance at the NAPA store at 6014 West Avenue. Each appearance will be from 12PM to 7PM, with food and drinks for guests from 4PM to 7PM.

"Amalie Oil and Andy Bornstein do such a great job with this event," said McMillen. We're proud to support them and the relationship that they have with NAPA. Texas has become such a strong market for Amalie, it always makes this race exciting for us."

Not only has NAPA been a major distribution point for Amalie, it has also added Torco Accelerator to its lineup of quality products. "Torco Accelerator is one of the fastest moving items in the Torco line of performance products," McMillen said. "NAPA has always been known as the place to 'get the good stuff'. Having Amalie and Torco invloved with NAPA makes for the perfect partnership."

"The support we get from our partners is remarkable," McMillen added. "When we get folks like Amalie and Evan Knoll and Mark Adelizzi from Flatout Gaskets behind this InstiGator funny car, we can only expect great results. Our car was rebuilt from the ground up this offseason. We didn't hesitate to put the best stuff on our car. Roy Griffith made sure we had the best cams and Joe Pando from MSD provided the best electronics. I'm not sure why anyone would use anything different."

McMillen will also pull double duty in San Antonio, driving both the InstiGator and the Foley-Lewis, Torco Nitro Top Fuel Car, backed by Evan Knoll. "I'm really honored to be in such a high quality car," McMillen said. "Evan Knoll, Doug Foley and Tim Lewis have all given me a great chance to make a run at the top fuel championship."

The InstiGator team partners with high quality and high performance companies like; Amalie Oil, Torco Race Fuels, eRaceFuels, Flatout Gaskets, NGK Spark Plugs, MSD, GO Graphix, eMax, Crane Cams, Freedom Grill and No Limit Custom Coach.
