BRAINERD, Minn. (8/12/06) -- Cory McClenathan qualified the Carrier Boyz Racing FRAM Boost Top Fuel dragster into the No. 6 starting position for Sunday's Lucas Oil Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway.
He'll start from the top half of the field for the first time since June 25.
"This car is beginning to show the potential Wes (Cerny, crew chief) and Tony (Shortall) had in it," said McClenathan, who had a best of 4.574 seconds at 329.42 mph. He races Morgan Lucas (11th, 4.643 at 313.80 mph).
"We're looking forward to Sunday," added McClenathan. "We need to start going to rounds."
