Richmond, Va. – With two races remaining until the AMS Promod champion is crowned, Florida based racer Joey Martin is practically tied with the Promod points leader, Jay Payne. The chase can't get much more intense as the series makes its first stop at the Torco Racing Fuels Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park. This will be the first time that the series has been contested at the facility.
"The plan is to go with our game face on. Chuck Ford and the crew have this bad boy tuned in. It will be left up to me to follow through," said Martin. "I have never driven at this track and Chuck Ford doesn't have experience tuning here, but all the other teams will be starting basically in the same position. It will come down to who can get a handle on the track first."
Martin is second going into the Torco Racing Fuels Nationals, 13 points behind first place with only 8 rounds of racing remaining in the series. In all, The T.A.R.E. (Tindle-Ashley Racing Enterprises) team has tallied five victories and two runner-up finishes this season.
Stay tuned to T.N.N. (Tare News Network) for updates throughout the Torco Racing Fuels Nationals.
