Joliet, Ill. -- After two rounds of qualifying today at the NHRA Route 66 National Event in Chicago, Chris Demke piloted the Maddern Racing Top Alcohol Dragster entry into the #1 position for the 2011 Jeg’s Allstar competition.
“Our first pass wasn‘t too pretty” noted Demke, “the car smoked the tires off the line and I pedaled it a couple of times but it just danced around so I lifted.
“The next pass, we had a .911 sixty foot time and soared through the finish line at 5.351 seconds at 269.19 mph which put us in the number one spot for tomorrow’s eliminations.”
The Peen Rite/Clean Boost sponsored dragster will race Division 5 representative Randy Meyer in first round of Jeg’s Allstar Competition is slated to begin on Saturday at 1:00 PM and conclude later that day.
