CECIL, Ga. – Excessive winds forced NHRA and South Georgia Motorsports Park officials to postpone today’s eliminations for the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. The wind kicked up Sunday morning and is expected to continue throughout the day.
The event has been rescheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 11 & 12. Gates will open on Friday at 9 a.m. with a time trail session scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Eliminations will be held on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Cars will run first round of eliminations at 1 p.m. A complete schedule will be posted this week on the Southeast Division web site.
Qualifying has been completed and the fields are locked for all classes. The following are final qualifying results and first-round pairings for TAD and TAFC at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at South Georgia Motorsports Park :
