TOPEKA, Kan. (May 21) -- Defending NHRA Kansas Nationals champion Richie Crampton has put himself in good position to repeat.

Crampton qualified the Lucas Oil dragster in the No. 4 spot and made four solid passes in qualifying as he tries to repeat as the Top Fuel winner at Heartland Park Topeka.
