So, DSR has a relationship with some school in Indiana (forget which), and today I find out that AJR is partnered with Texas A&M (engineering students spend time at AJPE and the track). What other teams have access to university programs? This is a good thing. Students get real world experience, and the teams get access to simulation software they normally wouldn't buy. For instance, Abaqus is very expensive (~20K a year, depending on how man license tokens you purchase), but universities can get the research edition at a discounted price with nearly all of the same functionality, or enough for the purposes of simulation what goes on in a race car. Etc, etc...
