I see the Greek will be in Madison this weekend, sure would be nice if he got a little air time.

But you can rest assure there will be a full interview about the last time any of the Fource's took a dump.

I kind of agree. But really...just being there with a running race car speaks volumes this day and age. But yeah, The Greek should be just as revered and respected as much as Big Daddy, Cha Cha, Brute Force, The Mongoose, The Texan, The Snake, The Professor, The Bounty Hunter or anyone else. His contributions and accomplishments to the sport are incredible.

"my grandpa's not here, he's racing his top fuel dragster"

a man of few words, at least publicly.
would hope to see some coverage of him too.
a living and still racing legend.

greek, hope to see you in brainerd.

I too agree, put The Greek on the broadcast. The current state of NHRA Drag Racing probably sees it different, though. If you're not a cute, they couldn't care less. I hope the stars align perfectly some day and The Greek gets in the show and manages to win one. As long as he has been Racing, it still amazes me that he never won an NHRA National Event. I hope he does well.

I'm sure they'll interview "hot rod" or the willpower girl again and talk about how they're looking for funds and are'nt racing. No need to interview a legend who is still racing and spendin his own money, right?!

Karemesines has a great sense of humor. I think he'd surprise a lot of people in terms of an interview. He never won an NHRA national event, so maybe that is the reasoning behind NHRA/ESPN2 not doing at least a human interest story on him. His match race record was arguably unrivaled even by the other great match racers of days gone by. In a way it is sad that the vast majority of the people attending races today don't have a historical perspective of the sport that would result in a crowd of people around the Greek's trailer seeking autographs.

At Rockingham this past weekend he had a steady group of fans hnging and watching his crew in action... as much as if not more than most..... it was pretty fun to watch....

The Greek's cars were outstanding looking in the sixties. I agree he deserves a career flashback from ESPN. but I doubt that will happen:mad:

Last time I saw the Greek, he still had a Chaparral trailer. I wonder how many trucks he used up pulling that trailer?

Its a shame The Golden Greek crashed his car with the gold plated chassis. what a fixture that would have been at a museum. And what a beautiful car I remember that being. Though I never got to see it in person. Anyone have any pictures of it?

Wilber was talkin about Alton Dragway in his blog. Here's a pic of "The Greek" at Alton.
