"Earlier this week, the Kansas state legislature passed HB2416, which, as stated in the bill’s text, creates “the Kansas motorsports venue protection act to provide immunity to motorsports venues from civil actions for nuisance, taking or similar legal theories.”

In essence, it prevents outside forces from legally challenging motorsports venues’ operation due to nuisance violations—think: noise, traffic, and any other potential impact that surrounding towns, housing developments, and businesses deem as such. It would grant civil immunity to roughly 20 existing tracks and prevent complaints from residents who moved within a five-mile radius after those venues were established.

i think this is kind of a big deal, one that sets precedent, hopefully introduced and implemented in other states.
SRCA back this year with all concrete strip and new tower. double D july 9-12 (div. and reg.)...... IMO this place will be
capable of hosting a nat. event if ever the opportunity.

I'd much rather live near a drag strip than in the low flight path of a big airport or a strip mine or a landfill.
