The world-famous "Technicoat Cowboys" are once again taking full-car sponsorship on the #9 Countdown competitor right through to Sunday night at Pomona ......

Great job by the Kalittas to pick up sponsorship on a sort of race-to-race basis this year.

It's been interesting; because back in January they came out and said point blank - the dragster would be out on a part-time basis only unless a major deal was announced. But with an early win and Doug hovering in the bottom half of the points all year, they opted to attend every race, with some great help along the way from Rocky, Red Line and the other associates they have. In the late winter they were so focused on putting the funny car out on each racetrack to honor Scott.... but here at season's end it's the dragster that they're knee-deep in, as far as the countdown goes. So all in all I think it's been a good year considering how it looked last winter; and that's not even taking into account that they have 2 more dragsters "at the ready" when the proper funding comes through for Hillary and David to drive again.
