JEGS - Fast Facts NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals Gainesville Raceway, Gainesville, Fla. March 13-16


  • The JEGS Foundation "Racing for Cancer Research" will celebrate a 5 year anniversary this year at the NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals. The JEGS Foundation was announced at Gainesville Raceway in 2003.
  • NASCAR legend Geoff Bodine will be a guest of Jeg Coughlin and his team during the NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals.
  • Jeg Coughlin Jr. won the Pro Stock title at the Gatornationals in 2001, driving his JEGS Mail Order Chevy Cavalier to a win over Mark Osborne in the final round.
  • Jeg has also claimed three-straight runner-up finishes at Gainesville Raceway from 2002-2004
  • In nine career appearances at Gainesville Raceway, Jeg has a round win record of 19-8 in Pro Stock competition
  • Jeg has qualified in the top half of the Pro Stock field seven times, including the 1998 Gatornationals, where he was the low qualifier
  • In the opening round of the 2007 AC Delco Gatornationals, Jeg Coughlin recorded the best elapsed time and best speed of his career with a 6.582-second run at 210.01 mph.
  • Jeg’s career-best elapsed time of 6.582-seconds and 210.01 mph makes him the fifth-quickest and the fifth fastest Pro Stock driver in NHRA competition.
  • Jeg is one of just five Pro Stock drivers to run in excess of 210 miles per hour
  • Thus far in 2008, Jeg has earned a semifinal and a runner-up finish, winning five of eight possible rounds.
  • Jeg is currently ranked No. 2 in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock standings, just four points out of first place
  • Jeg is ranked No. 4 in the K&N Horsepower Challenge standings. The K&N Challenge is a special event that will take place in Norwalk, Ohio on June 28. It is open only to the top eight Pro Stock racers.
  • In 2005, Troy Coughlin made his first appearance in the JEGS ProMod Challenge at the AC Delco Gatornationals, qualifying No. 13 with a 6.56.
  • Troy also competed in Gainesville eight times in Pro Stock. His best finish was a runner-up in 2000 and he posted a semifinal finish in 1999. He has a 5-5 record in elimination rounds
