Cool video and congratulations to Rupert for upgrading his license. It goes to show how powerful Top Fuel and Funny Car are when a veteran like Rupert who has been racing alcohol and nostalgia cars, (cars that are already very quick and fast) for years, is still taken aback during a run in a nitro machine. No small feat to get that license.

I wonder what his thoughts were after further analyzing his second run? From the top end camera, it looks like he was lined up towards the wall. As soon as he hit the throttle, he shot towards the wall. Luckily a cylinder went out on the left side of the car (ride side from the top end camera) which pushed him back towards the groove. Had the cylinder gone out on the other side of the car? Things could have gotten real dicey real quick.

That first pass was right down the groove. Was really impressed with that. 2nd pass was good too. He looked like he's been driving Big Show for a long time. I hope they do well.
