From Ron Capps: Hmmm.they just shut off James Day's car at starting line cause nhra thought they saw oil, after back up,no oil on track...ouch

Sucks if that's the case.

But, The car was shut off on the line BOTH runs Friday. When you drag it up there and shut it off on back to back runs, for whatever the reason, all eyes will be on you the rest of the weekend.

What were they shut off for on Friday? I didn't think track personel shut them off I thought there was an issue with the clutch.

On every run a crew guy had to go out and grab the butterflies to bring the idle down before they could back up. On there first run he was acutully laying on top of the body with his feet off the ground to reach into the motor to adjust something. I was nervious for them and I'm sure Rick Stuart was too.
I would have loved to see them run on Sunday but I think they need a little more prep first.
On their third pass the car went out about 250' and spun the tires but it sounded clean so they are close.
