This is all pretty neat stuff.
Now, if there was only a great finish line camera that doesn’t distort the cars.
But, that may be asking too much, especially considering the cars are traveling well over 300 mph.

I have totally weened myself off Faux and only watch the races on NHRA.TV. A terrific value (imagine saying that about NHRA) and I can watch it anywhere, any time. You just have to be OK with the announcer saying the same shtick at every track. Don't ask about the green bumper lights or birthdays on Pro Camaro rear windows.

have other motorsports had this technology already? and we are just catching up? or is this as new as it gets? i'm assuming the remote production in indianapolis is set
up for a variety of sports programming? ....... great that new stuff, and trying new things is happening with nhra/fox production. i enjoy the drone video a lot. the remote cameras
in pits is a great idea. it's almost 1/2 the reason anyone goes to an nhra nat. event. ........ i agree on the finish line camera. would be nice to capture a crisp shot.
sure wish they could put a camera at 1000' or just a little ways past, instead of viewing 1000' racing from 1320' camera...... thanks for link jim. good article.

I would like to see every team being able to invest in a couple of cameras for the pits and crew chief work area (lounge). Then have the capability to feed those signals into the main feed to Indy. Wouldn't it be cool to have David Grubnick look up from his computer and explain what set up challenges he was facing for the next round.

Honestly, NHRA needs to get the car audio right, both on Fox and NHRA.TV before they do anything else. Sound is the life blood of the sport (all classes), why NHRA doesn't understand that is beyond comprehension
I think they think we want to hear the announcers,LOL. nope just the cars and graphics would be fine,if so.sign me up nhra tv next year

All qualifying and eliminations are live on NHRA TV. If you don't have, should give it a try. I love it.
I always record the races and watch them in the evenings. Last time I tried NHRA.TV, there was no way to pause it and watch it later, there may be now??? There's WAY too much down time to spend an entire day watching TV.
