Please point out the class that is still treated like a red-headed step-child.

If you needed to run 23 races to be the PM champ, they'd have the same funding issues as the pro categories. It's all about numbers, like what was mentioned in another thread.

the alky class is the 3rd fastest class n NHRA and treated like shit my friend,,, tell it like it is!!! the ole Div 2 guys aint got but one race left thought Lucas cared I hav quit buyin lucas products for my 30 truks might not be much but its around $75K a year he just screwed the div 2 guys, and also met with him and ask for funding help on a car but fell on deaf hears, at least I was buyin his expensive products

Well maybe they need to run it at different tracks each season to give it more exposure. Another idea would be to make sure it's run at tracks that don't have PSM, like Brainerd for instance.

How is wonky scheduling Forrest Lucas's fault? Talk to NHRA or your Division Director. You know how many people ask Forrest Lucas for money for their car .... Only everybody. He can't say yes to them all. I am sorry your experience with the Lucas family is not what you would like it to be, but sportsman racing as we know it would not be what it is without the Lucas Family. Drag racing is MUCH better because of the Lucas family.

Did you advertising proposal have the same awesome spelling and punctuation as your forum posts?

wen u hav the money Lucas has im sure he can have some weight on wat happens n the series, & I am sure a lot of racers ask 4 funding but I was putting it back n his pocket thru sales, & Shermie I can spell I just l like 2 hear guys like u bitchabout my short hand !! LOL  de truth will set u free my friend  im sure NHRA wuld find some way 4 the so called sportsman I think I hav read on this site several times the suits need the sportsman 4 the money they bring in

I am sure Forrest Lucas has a lot of weight when it comes to the Lucas Oil series too Guy. LOL.

But at some point, you just have to cut the check and hope the people you have hired know what they are doing. Forrest can't do everything for everybody, there aren't enough hours in the day and ultimately, it is not the best way to spend his time. If the D2 alky racers are pissed about the schedule, let NHRA and your Division Director know, not much can be done about it at this point, but hopefully next year will be better.

It must be noted that since NHRA went to the regional format for the alky guys, there are big holes in everyone's schedule. This is by design so there aren't divisional races on top of each other lowering car counts.

When I see posts by an illiterate such as Guy, it makes me feel embarrassed to be a drag racing fan. Very sad!

screw you roger I happen to have a degree in economics and have rebuilt a trucking company in which was hit hard by the crap in 2008 and 2009 and i can spell very well as I said I do the shorthand deal just to hear people like you

Never understood the concept of punishing NHRA sponsors.

One thing someone mentioned above had me wondering. It was said that if PM had a full series then they would run into the same money issues that Pro Stock does.

What if we lowered the number of events that Pro Stock attends? The cost of them to race now is through the roof and they can't get the funds to keep it rolling. Maybe take them away from the double events (Vegas. ZMax, Pomona) Only do 1 of the Texas races, maybe drop one more. Along with PM and PSM that would make 3 part time pro classes. NHRA can make sure at least 1, if not 2 of them are at every race. It might make the teams able to stretch their cash a little further.

Not saying I'm in favor of it but it does have me wondering.
