Great start for Demke and Team!

A runner-up's nothing to sneeze at, especially when it's to Whiteley.

Especially when it's a new to them car that had been mothballed for 10 years and they only had 1 full pull on it when they pulled through the gates at Pomona!!! That car will only get better as the season goes on.

I'm a big fan of the alky classes, and am impressed with how fast Demke & Whiteley have been running. What's the deal with the old "new pipe" (or new "old pipe")? I read it's a Uyehara car, was it a barn find? :D

WOOHOO!!!
What a great start to the year!!!
Greg: is the car gonna be wrapped before the next race?
Can't wait til August to see all of you guys/ladies again!!!
Bananas for ALL!!!
:D :D :D

Greggo was telling me that it used to belong to Bill McCornack.

The car is an '02 Uyehara and was bought from Bill McCornack about a year ago. It only had about 30 runs on it.

Wayne: I believe the plan is to have it wrapped this weekend... which is a good thing 'cause it will cover up the big scratch I made on the pretty red paint.

Greg is the best body panel screwer onner there is.

Very impressive in that the team had to swap motors after the semis and didn't have time to warm it up, and ran a 5.27 in the final.

I can gouge paint with the best of them :D

If it weren't for about 18 people, there would have been no way we would been on the line. 50 minutes is not much time between rounds.
