BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Jan. 23, 2009) - Goodridge Performance Fluid Transfer Systems has been named the official hose and fitting supplier of Mike Ashley Racing it was announced today. Goodridge also will have a technical representative on-site at all 24 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series events in 2009.
"Goodridge is one of two exclusive plumbing suppliers to the NHRA and we're excited to be on board with Antron (Brown) and the Matco Tools dragster," Goodridge director of motor sports Indianapolis Chuck Westcott said. "We see great growth potential in NHRA and much of that is based on our relationship with Mike Ashley Racing. We're excited to again partner with Mike's team and offer support to the entire NHRA community this season."
Goodridge has 35 years of high performance plumbing experience in motor sports and automotive applications. Goodridge hose and fittings are found in every race series in the United States and Europe, and around the globe, including NHRA, NASCAR, Formula1, LMP and GT, SCCA and touring cars. Goodridge's relationship with Mike Ashley began in 2005 when the Pro Mod standout went NHRA Funny Car racing. Ashley won three Funny Car races, including the 2007 U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis, and claimed five No. 1 qualifying awards using Goodridge products.
"I've been associated with Goodridge and its line of products for many years now and we're excited to again work with Chuck (Westcott) and the folks at Goodridge," crew chief Brian Corradi said. "It's a great product and Goodridge has long been a loyal supporter of Mike Ashley Racing. It's also great that there will be a rep from Goodridge on-site at each race to support all the NHRA racers."
