Good Weekend for Hedges at Joliet Divisional

Dave Hedges and the Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels blown alcohol dragster Team were in Joliet , Illinois last weekend for the Lucas Oil Divisional Series event and despite and early exit, the Team is pleased with where they are headed. The Team remains in the Top 5 of the divisional points standings and is excited about what they have been able to accomplish so far this season.

“We have been learning a lot this year. During first round, we were up against the quickest blown car on the property and we were trying a few things. We didn’t get the win, but we were able to gain more data that will be able to help us throughout the rest of the season,” said crew chief Brian Pfeifer.

The Team qualified #7 out of 17 cars in the extremely competitive class with a 5.52 at 257 MPH. In first round they came up against the eventual race winner and ran a 5.71 at 247 MPH.

“I feel so good about the Team this year. Everyone is working so hard together to give me a competitive car every time I go up to the line. Brian is doing a great job making the decisions and any time you are racing on Sunday you have a chance to win. Sooner or later it is going to be our turn and until then we will keep giving it our all,” Hedges remarked.

The next event for the Team will be in Norwalk , Ohio at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.
