Plueg's said they were having some pretty bad tire shake with the Mustang. Garret did do a great job handling the car and was able to get his license.

I agree. I remember when the "origional" ran in the mid 70's. It was one bad ass car back then, and going by how Steve has tuned the Northwest Hitter driven by Bucky, the Plueger & Gyger car could also be one bad ass one on the NFCA Circuit.

Garret works for Bucky Autin now and they were planning on bringing out an A/Fuelrs but they decided to run both plugers cars instead.
It will be a formidable two car team, and Garrett will likely make Bucky be sharper at the tree.
I do Bucky's web site and now I will be twice a busy updating for both cars.

Is Garrett any relation to John Bateman, owner of the Atlas Oil Tools Spl Mustang back in the early 70's?

You know what that is something I have no clue on. Garrett seems to very very knowledgable, like he has been around the sport for a long time. I am due to talk to both him and Bucky soon, I will see if I can find out a little family history.
