Going back in time when these cars just rocked, what are your favorite Street Roadsters? It could be the blown cars, A/SR,B/SR,C/SR or ?

Here are just a very few I can think of out of my bald geezer head.
Francis Crider
Sunshine Kanishero
Jim Stevens
Jerry Hays-"Street Cleaner"
Jim Parsons-"High & Mighty"
Lovell Bros.
Del Rio Bros.
Byron Raines-Supercharged
Gary Burgin-Supercharged
Gary Densham-Supercharged
Hugh Tucker-Supercharged

Just a few to tickle the brain.

Hugh Tucker, cuz it had a Blown Oldsmobile engine and ran with the Chryslers. The High & Mighty would be next. Big Hemi engine.....

The Late Jeff Krug's B/SR (I believe B or C/SR). Of course, you can't go wrong with Ed Sigmon's "Snarpeezel"

Sigmon's car was actually an MG roadster. I saw it at San Fernando before he won Pomona. Had a big ol' Rat motor in it. I think it was all steel when he first ran it. He might have run the car out of Fiasco Automotive, not sure.

Sigmon also did run a ‘27 style street roadster for a long time, I remember it being a real hot pink color. He’s still racing to this day I believe, not sure what car.

I think he still has the hot pink car, runs a V-6 engine. Still going strong & he is mid - late 70's now.

Ed Sigmon is still racing in Comp Eliminator.

But my favorite was/is Larry Dixon Sr.'s car

I don't remember that car. Talk about a wild ride.... I do remember Dixon Sr. Fireside Inn, AAF/MR. AA Fuel Modified Roadster, which was basically a front motor AA/FD w/ fiberglass t roadster body. I think Dixon's car was the last of it's kind. Saw it run at San Fernando in 1968-69. After that he went to dragsters. He won Pomona in 1970 & that is where they took the photo of him in the winners circle holding Larry Jr. When Larry Jr won T/F at Pomona, he took a photo with his kids, deja vu. Also gave the trophy to his dad.

Ray that is a cool car, and, I'm pretty sure I saw that for sale just recently, maybe on Racingjunk.com.
Last I saw it, it was in Sonoma County. Black with multi-colored graphics, I can't remember the guy's name, but he was racing it in S/C 10-15 years ago.

This is a crappy pic of a pic, but my true favorite street roadster. Me driving the ‘27 Roadster my uncle built in the early ‘90s. Not sure if I was able to copy and paste properly but here goes:

Bob Clemet. No one knows him. He was a kid in late 1950's who lived down the street from me. The John Milner character from American Graffiti reminded me of Bob Clemet. Anyhoo, he bought a t-bucket roadster with a Caddy engine. Had 2 4-bbl carbs and had run 106 at the drags. That thing was fast! My first ride in it was WHOA! :) We lived in Glendale, Calif then. Bob never lost a race with that car. He sold it some years later. I will remember that car until I croak. My first exposure to a fast hot rod, even before I started going to the drags. I lost track of Bob, who would be late 70's now.

Although it probably didn't get as much notoriety because we are not exactly the center of the racing universe (New Mexico), John McClintic and chassis builder Dave Benjamin pretty much revolutionized street roadster design when they debuted this car in 1974. It was very successful in the west, winning the Division 5 Modified Eliminator points championship.
