Sure wish I had made it to a race at Thunder Mountain, Bandimere Speedway. Just wasn't in the cards, since I never lived in Colorado. Long way from Florida. Dang it.

Well you’ll have to start planning on coming for the inaugural race at the brand new Bandimere Motorsports Park (*a name I made up 😄)

although there is a good chance any future nat. event out there would actually be below 5280', i sure hope the 'mile high nationals' sticks.
next year on the schedule is only the gatornationals, winternationals, thunder valley, northwest, and fall nationals. why they can not call the brainerd race
the 'lucas oil northstar nationals' is beyond me, or any of the other former, great nhra national event monikers.

Mike, after our new marketing/social media group not knowing about the past "Northstar Nationals" moniker ironically rebranded our two import event weekends "Northstar Speed Summit" this year, I pitched the idea of bringing the "Northstar Nationals" moniker back in my meetings with NHRA this past year and will continue to see if we can bring it back.

that's cool phillip. i sent a comment to lucas oil as well, and received a very nice, same day, prompt response, stating that my suggestion would be passed along to appropriate department

I'll keep making the Northstar Nationals Merch until I get in trouble!

Ugh, wouldn't it be awful to have to call it the Kilometer High Nationals?
